Here is a radical and illuminating idea from the Happiness Project; do it yourself 10 commandments.

Like so very much of life we think things are set in unchangeable stone.
 Words from parents, teachers; authorities.
It is easy to allow others to tell us to color within the lines they have sketched out. Truth is; we all draw our own picture of life. Certain problems and unhappiness in life are a natural extension of, without realizing it, having borrowed someone else’s  template of life.

Want to rile up those living in the middle of the bell curve ?
Hint at the non-sacrosanctity of the 10 commandments.
Want to have a clear and true compass to steer your life? Write your own!

Michael Max’s 10 Commandments
Live up to your own expectations
Cultivate Joy and Curiosity
Take risks on you own behalf
Listen deeply
Take naps
Don’t do to others what you would not want them to do to you
Put yourself in front of what you want
Don’t fear failure, fear not learning
Consider others strengths
Do it all with Love

How about you? Be your own Moshe. Chisel your own stone!
